Exciting news for partners of New Zealanders! Starting from 1st October, partners of Kiwis, who’ve been living together for at least 12 months, will be able to get longer Work Visas and Visitor Visas. The duration will be increasing from 2 to 3 years.
This change will give you more time to save for a Resident Visa and align with the visa durations offered to partners of temporary migrants.
The increased duration will also apply to applications that were submitted before 1st October and haven’t yet been decided.
For partners of Kiwis who have been living together for less than 12 months, you can still apply for a 12-month visa.
