The final selection of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the current Skilled Migrant Category will be taking place on 16th August 2023. EOIs can be submitted up until 23.59 on 15th August 2023 (New Zealand Time).
Applicants will be invited to apply for residence under the current Skilled Migrant Category settings if their EOI is assessed as having at least 180 points, when selected on 16th August. They will have 4 months from their invitation to submit their application and gather all evidence.
If an EOI is assessed as having less than 180 points, the applicant won’t be invited to apply. It may be possible for them to apply under the new Skilled Migrant Category points system from 9th October, if they meet the eligibility requirements.
Withdrawing an EOI
If someone does not have 180 points or wont be able to provide the supporting evidence, they will be able to withdraw their EOI before 16th August 2023 and apply for a refund.
Applying for a refund for a withdrawn EOI
The new Skilled Migrant Category will launch on 9th October 2023.
