From 19th July 2021 Immigration will be using an updated median wage of NZD $27.00 per hour to assess Essential Skills and Skilled Migrant Visa applications (previously NZD $25.50 per hour).
What does this mean for me?
Essential Skills Work Visas
- To be granted a 3-year visa you will need to have a job or job offer paying NZD $27 per hour (previously NZD $25.50)
Skilled Migrant Category Visas
- To be awarded skilled employment points for ANZSCO Skill Level 1,2 and 3 occupations, you will need to have a job or job offer paying NZD $27 per hour (previously NZD $25.50)
- To be awarded skilled employment points for ANZSCO Skill Level 4 and 5 occupations, you will need to have a job or job offer paying NZD $40.50 per hour (previously NZD $38.25)
- To be awarded bonus points for high renumeration you will need a job or job offer paying at least NZD $54 per hour (previously NZD $51)
